Utility

At Solverra, we employ Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology for carrying out non-destructive testing (NDT), subsurface imaging, and underground locating in the most reliable manner. Some of the key applications of our GPR survey services for utilities include underground utility mapping and management system software for underground systems. Our services for the utility segment also include collection management and maintenance of utilities such as telecom, electricity, water, and wastewater, among others.

There are other applications for the GPR system as well. They include drainage mapping for golf courses prior to digging, locating post-tension cables and imaging rebar with concrete prior to core cutting, locating underground tanks for environmental inspections, identifying burial sites and cemetery mapping to find unmarked grave sites, locating buried bodies for forensic investigations by police, and identifying sinkholes below the ground or roadways. These are a few of the services that our trained technicians are capable of performing in real time on site.

As GPR uses radio waves for penetrating the surface and into concrete, the power output required is very low and is not harmful. Therefore, there is no need to evacuate people or work off-hours in any of the sites. As a result, this is a more cost-effective solution than other technologies like concrete X-Ray.
